Sunday Lunch at The Ivy Tower Bridge

Always having been a fan of The Ivy’s beautiful yet relaxed venues, sophisticated service and modern British food, it was a pleasure paying a visit to the Tower Bridge restaurant.

Welcomed with a glass of bubbles, we were seated with an amazing view over the river and the beautiful Tower Bridge. As a starter I choose the Smoked Salmon with Crab served with slices of freshly baked rye bread and my partner had the Crispy Duck salad. Both dishes were amazing, but having tasted the Crispy Salad I’m not doubting what I will be having at my next visit.

As main course I went with a dry aged British rib-eye served with zucchini, a green salad and béarnaise sauce. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and the sauce was to perfection.

I am very impressed with the complete experience provided by The Ivy and already excited for my next visit.

Sunday Lunch at The World’s End Market

I went for a Sunday lunch with my partner at The World’s End Market, famous for its meat.

Jose Gordon’s meat has been described as the World’s Best Meat according to Netflix Documentary “Steak Revolution, 2014”.

I started with a Tartar accompanied with 2 slices of toasted bread. As for the main dish I went for the Solomillo De Buey Steak which has been matured for 100 days.


Both dishes were exceptional. I won’t  hesitate with saying that it’s the best steak I ever had! The intense taste of spiced meat combined with tenderness making it melt on your tongue. WOW! I almost fell of my chair…

Between the meals we were given a tour. The venue is composed of two floors : the restaurant and a vintage bar upstairs specialized in whiskey. The bartender introduced us to the forgotten cocktail : La Louisiane.

A seductively named drink built on rye, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, Peychaud’s bitters, and absinthe, ‘La Louisiane’ shares similar DNA to other New Orleans classics, but never made the same leap into the cocktail mainstream. It is the secret cocktail of New Orleans, and these days it’s starting to get its due.

It was a well spent Sunday afternoon and an exceptional dining experience. We will definitely be back here.

MORJAS by HENRIK BERG

Looking through my GQ magazine I came across the newborn shoe brand named Morjas, that is  featured in the “best new men’s wear items” section. I straight away fell for the style and handcraft of their shoes. So much that I went to get myself a pair of gorgeous brown monk straps made in the finest calf leather.


I am extremely fascinated by the brand and it’s perfect selection of the most essential and elegant shoes that a gentleman can own.

MORJAS is founded by Henrik Berg who grew up in southern Spain, where he was inspired by the style of his Mediterranean fathers, in their crisp white linens and fine loafers. Moving to his mother’s native Sweden, Berg’s fascination with quality craftsmanship was fused with Scandinavian design and aesthetic.
